How much does CCTV installation cost in Nepal?

The honest answer is that it depends on how many cameras you need and what kind. A shop with four cameras is not the same job as a school with thirty.

But nobody searches for "it depends", so here are real numbers. Every price below is from our own price list in Narayangarh. None of it is a guess.

What one camera costs

Cameras are the part everybody asks about first. There are three kinds, and the gap between them is real.

Analog cameras cost from about Rs 3,000 each. One cable carries both the picture and the power. These suit a building that already has cable in the walls.
WiFi cameras run from about Rs 3,900 to Rs 28,000, and most people choose something near Rs 10,000. Only power has to reach each camera, so they go up fastest. This is what most homes and shops in Chitwan pick.
Network cameras on data cable cost from about Rs 6,100 to Rs 13,700. They give the clearest picture and the steadiest recording. Offices, schools and factories usually want these.

What the recorder costs

A wired system needs a recorder, and its size is fixed on the day you buy it. A four camera recorder cannot take a fifth camera later, so it is worth buying one size bigger than you need today.

The parts of the bill people forget

This is where a quotation you found on the internet stops matching the one in your hand. None of these are optional.

A hard disk. Recorders are sold empty. Without one the system shows live pictures and saves nothing.
Cable, and the labour to run it. A camera on the far corner of a compound costs more to reach than one above the front door.
A power supply, and a battery backup if you want the cameras to keep working when the power goes.
Brackets and mounts, about Rs 700 each where the camera does not come with one.
Fitting, setting up and showing you how to use the phone app.

Two real examples

Four of our cheapest indoor WiFi cameras come to about Rs 15,600 in equipment.

Four analog cameras with a four camera recorder come to about Rs 21,900 in equipment.

Both figures are cameras and recorder only. Add the hard disk, the cable, the power supply and the fitting, and the final number depends on your building. That is not us avoiding the question. It is that we cannot see your walls from here.
